Allotment Transformations #2

Transformation of Plot HN3

This full size plot hadn’t been well used for a few years, so it’s been great to see such a big difference in a short space of time. The plot holders did an amazing job transforming the plot into a productive allotment garden.

At the front of the plot there are six raised beds filled with carrots, chillis, strawberries and lettuce.
Near them, there is a patch of onions, radishes, parsnips, peas, brassicas and beetroot.

In the middle section there are many cucumber plants supported by wooden posts and string.

There’s a myriad of strong tomato plants as well as corn. There are a number courgettes, pumpkins and squash.

The wood chip paths are surrounded by bamboo arches that support runner bean plants.

At the back of the plot you can see rows of potatoes starting to bloom.
