Harpenden In Bloom

Harpenden in Bloom is a community initiative designed to enhance the appearance of Harpenden, Batford and Southdown, promote a sense of ownership of the Town by the local community and improve the quality of life for all. Supported by Harpenden Town Council, the Harpenden in Bloom Working Party arrange a number of events throughout the year to encourage participation from members of the public of all ages from competitions to planting days and the opportunity for local businesses to promote themselves via the sponsorship of flowerbeds and hanging baskets.

East Harpenden Gardening Club and other local groups, all help out along with the Town Council's contractors to ensure that the Town shows off the best floral displays possible.

Harpenden Town Council held a Presentation Ceremony for the HIB competition on Friday 14th October at Park Hall, Leyton Green, where all the winners were presented with their certificates and received vouchers for use in garden centers.
